When Quality Matters

What makes Mattress Safe® encasements the best mattress protector available?

At Mattress Safe®, we design our encasements to provide the highest level of protection, comfort, and durability for both homes and commercial environments.

Our mission is to offer products that are fully waterproof yet breathable, helping you safeguard your mattress from bed bugs, dust mites, spills, virus and bacteria. We use our exclusive laminated fabric, which is soft, quiet, and flexible enough to fit a wide range of mattress depths without compromising comfort. Our encasements are bed bug certified, fire retardant, hypoallergenic, and engineered to wick moisture while allowing airflow, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Every product is made with long-lasting materials, easy to install, simple to maintain, and rigorously tested to ensure you receive the most reliable mattress protection available.

Where can I find the Mattress Safe® Bed Bug Certification?

At Mattress Safe®, we take bed bug protection seriously, which is why we've gone through formal testing to ensure our encasements truly perform as promised.

We've achieved recognition as a certified Pest Control Management Product, and our Ultimate zippered encasement has undergone both a Bite Test and a Penetration & Escape Test conducted by a certified entomologist. These tests confirmed that bed bugs cannot bite through our fabric, cannot penetrate it, and cannot escape once enclosed, proving that our design provides reliable exclusion and inclusion protection. We make these certifications publicly available so you can verify our claims for yourself — you can download the official Bite Test Report and Penetration & Escape Test Report directly from our website, giving you full transparency into the testing process and results. Our goal is to provide you with trustworthy, proven protection that helps prevent costly mattress damage and reduces bed bug harborage areas in both residential and commercial environments.

Where can I find the Mattress Safe® Fire Retardancy Test Results?

At Mattress Safe®, we understand how important fire safety is when choosing protective bedding, which is why we rigorously test our fabric to meet recognized fire-retardant standards. Our material earned a “B” Classification under the American ULV-O Burn Test, demonstrating resistance to smoldering cigarettes — a key requirement for mattress safety. We also test our products to comply with CFR Title 16 Part 1632, the federal flammability standard for mattresses and mattress pads. This standard requires materials to extinguish three burning cigarettes before they burn more than one inch, ensuring strong cigarette-ignition resistance.

Our products meet this requirement through the Ticking Substitution Procedure outlined in Part 1632.6. To give you complete transparency, we make our official Fire Retardancy Test Results available for download directly from our website. We want you to feel confident knowing that our encasements are not only waterproof, breathable, and bed bug certified, but also engineered to meet strict fire-safety standards for both residential and commercial use.
