To measure correctly, start by using a tape measure and checking the height, length, and width in inches. For the height, measure from the very bottom — where the mattress rests on the box spring — all the way to the top, including any pillow-top or Euro-top layers.

Repeat the same process for the box spring if needed. Next, measure the length from the head of the mattress to the foot, and then the width from side to side. These three measurements give you the exact size you need. It's important to measure accurately because we cannot accept exchanges or returns on opened packages due to hygiene and bed bug concerns. If you're working with a King or Queen mattress, also check whether the box spring is a single piece or a split set, since that determines whether you need one encasement or two. Together, lift the end of the mattress and rest it on the floor, then slowly slide the encasement down the length of the mattress, inch by inch, being careful not to pull or strain the zipper area.

Once the encasement is fully in place, zip it completely and secure the patented “Zipper with the Hook®” to lock it closed. For added security — especially in commercial or high-turnover environments — insert the included zip-tie through the sewn-in loop to create a tamper-proof seal. If you're also installing a box spring encasement, repeat the same steps, or simply stand the box spring upright and pull the encasement down over it. If you're ordering from outside the continental U.S. or Canada, we'll provide a freight quote — just give us a call or send an email for assistance. If you ever receive a defective product, we're here to help. Warranty claims are handled directly through our team at 770-205-5335. Only items purchased through Mattress Safe® or one of our verified dealers qualify for warranty coverage, and defects should be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Clearance and discontinued items are not eligible for warranty replacement. For warranty processing, we'll ask for your order number, proof of purchase, a photo of the defect, and item numbers from the product label. If you purchased your encasement or protector directly from MattressSafe.com, your product is covered by a 10-year limited retail warranty. All of our products are made with high-quality materials and workmanship, and this warranty reflects that commitment. Your protector is fully covered for the first 3 years non-prorated, meaning we'll replace it at no charge if there's a defect in workmanship or materials. After that, the warranty becomes prorated at 1/10 of the cost per year for the remaining term.

The warranty specifically covers defects in workmanship and materials, but it does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, improper installation, or failure to follow care instructions. One important detail: the zipper portion of the encasement is covered for one year from the date of purchase. To keep your warranty valid, always avoid ironing, bleach, or Borax, because using any of these will void the warranty immediately. Mattress Safe® is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, and the maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the product. Warranty claims cannot be honored without proof of purchase.

If you purchased your product through a pest control company, hospitality retailer, or other distributor, your product is covered under our 3-year limited distributor/reseller warranty instead. This warranty is non-prorated for the full three years and also covers defects in workmanship and materials. The same care rules apply, including the one-year zipper coverage and the prohibition on bleach, Borax, or ironing. For distributor purchases, warranty claims must be initiated directly with Mattress Safe®. No matter where you purchased your product, our goal is to provide quality you can trust and service you deserve.
